A Quiet Return
A quiet return (with stories, breath, and wonder)
Dear friend,
It's been a while.
You're receiving this because at some point our paths crossed, perhaps you came to see Memories of an Indian Childhood, or you found your way to my website and something there spoke to you. I know I haven't been in touch, and I'm grateful you're still here.
Lately, I've found myself drawn to quiet, not to escape the world, but to listen to it more deeply. To the stories that whisper rather than shout. To the ones that guide us home to ourselves.
I've been exploring something I'm calling The Storyteller's Compass, a practice that weaves together:
Stories that heal and inspire (from ancient folktales to personal reflections)
Mindfulness and the art of listening
Creative expression that speaks before we know what we're saying
Gentle invitations to pause, reflect, and begin again
I am moving my mailing list to this Substack will be where these elements come together — a space for stories that matter, practices that ground us, and art that emerges from stillness.
If you're someone who craves meaningful stories, finds solace in creative practice, or simply wants a place to breathe more deeply... you might find something here that speaks to you.
I won't overwhelm your inbox. I'll write when I have something worth sharing a story that's ready to be told, a practice that's asked to be shared, or simply a moment of wonder that feels too precious to keep to myself.
Want to come with me on this journey?
You don't need to do anything , just stay as you are, and I'll write again soon.
With warmth and quiet joy,
Sita

Looking forward to the gentle journey, Sita. Mx
Not sure what I'm doing but it's an adventure!
